These are the days leading up to Carnaval, ‘vastelaovend’. Decorated facades in red, yellow and green can be seen in various places in the city.

These are the Carnaval colours. In the city districts, the princes and princesses Carnaval are proclaimed. In the picture, those of Carnaval association De Kluiverkes from the Heugemerveld district.

On January 22nd at 15.11 pm, the official city prince of the Tempeleers will be proclaimed on the Markt. And from 19 to 21 February it’s party time in the city: Vastelaovend. We will keep you informed.
